Rhinoplasty most often takes between one and two hours to complete, longer for more extensive procedures. Patients are generally able to return to work within one to two weeks, though more strenuous activity should be held off for two to three weeks. There are possible risks and complications associated with rhinoplasty which can include the following: infection, bursting of blood vessels, the need for additional surgeries, adverse anesthesia reactions, dissatisfaction with results, airway obstruction, bleeding, excessive scarring, and poor healing.
