Breast Augmentation Surgery is a relatively straightforward procedure that usually takes one to two hours to complete. It can be performed with general anesthesia, so you can be asleep throughout the surgery. Prior to the surgery, you and your plastic surgeon would have determined where the incision is going to take place, the placement of the implant, and of course the various details related to the implant itself.

Regardless of where the incision is made and the placement of the implant, your current breast tissue and skin will be lifted to create a pocket. From there, the implants are centered beneath your nipples. Following the insertion of the implant, the incisions that were made will be closed with stitches and then taped for greater support.
